On Thursday, October 26 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, Carolina Junction makes their debut appearance at the Blue Rain Café (www.blueraincafe.com) at 2125 Ten Ten Road in Apex, NC.
The Blue Rain Café is billed as “your local coffeehouse”, but is so much more. They offer a great menu of sandwiches, desserts, and even breakfast in addition to the best coffee in the area. They also have a mission to showcase great local talent. Admission is free, so come enjoy an evening out to hear some great bluegrass!
On Saturday, October 28, Carolina Junction will make their second appearance at the Fountain General Store (www.rafountain.com) in historic downtown Fountain, NC. The show starts at 7:30 pm, admission is $5.00.
If you haven’t been to the Fountain General Store, you need to check this place out! The store offers works from about 40 regional artists, books by area authors, sculptures and art for sale. The atmosphere is relaxed and great for listening to live music or just roaming the shelves for interesting stuff.
Following the release of their much heralded debut CD “Leavin the Station”, Carolina Junction has been in demand on radio, TV, and live performance.
They recently performed to a packed house at the Eastern North Carolina Bluegrass Association in Kinston, who experienced the magic of this talented group for the first time.
Russell Johnson of the Grasscats stated “…these guys have it all together…original songs, creative arrangements and tight musicianship. Scott McBride is the best bluegrass singer in the state”. Marshall Stephenson, host of “The Bluegrass Train” TV show stated, “They’re an excellent up and coming band”.
Carolina Junction made their first TV appearance in September on the popular show. They put their distinctive style to several bluegrass standards as well as selections from their new CD.
The Bluegrass Train TV show broadcasts every Sunday night at 8:00 on channel 24 Time Warner Cable and features the very best in new, current and vintage bluegrass, as well as music videos, special guest bands & comedy.
